Imagine a smartphone packed with not one, but two astonishing 200MP cameras along with a powerful 10x zoom lens! This could be the ultimate flagship that sets new standards in mobile photography.
According to a reputable source, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra is set to feature an impressive 50MP periscope camera with a remarkable 10x optical zoom capability, and it’s also rumored to support high-quality zooming up to 20x.
This means that when it officially debuts, it may very well emerge as the standout camera phone of 2026.
The last time we encountered a competent 10x telephoto camera on a smartphone was with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra back in 2023. However, new details suggest that OPPO could challenge Samsung with even more advanced imaging features on their new device.
The seasoned leaker Digital Chat Station recently shared insights via Weibo, revealing that the OPPO Find X9 Ultra will sport a 50MP periscope lens capable of achieving a native zoom of approximately 230mm (which equates to around 10x) and a stunning 460mm for high-quality shots, effectively doubling the zoom without losing resolution. This "high-quality" zoom likely comes from cropping the central part of the sensor, allowing for clearer images even at greater distances.
But wait, there’s more! The specifications keep getting better. Digital Chat Station also confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra will include a 200MP primary camera and another 200MP lens designated for mid-telephoto shots, likely in the 3x to 4x range. Notably, this mid-telephoto camera might boast superior light-gathering capabilities compared to other devices in its category, while the main camera's light intake could surpass that of standard one-inch sensors.
Interestingly, the leaker mentioned that OPPO is not opting for Samsung’s ISOCELL HP5 200MP sensor, which is currently the smallest of its kind in the market. Instead, there are speculations that OPPO might utilize Sony’s cutting-edge LYT-901 200MP sensor, which has been creating quite a buzz due to its performance.
Given these remarkable features, the OPPO Find X9 Ultra seems poised to contend for the title of the best camera phone of 2026 upon its eventual release. While previous OPPO Ultra models were not made available globally, recent rumors indicate that this new device might finally reach international markets, including regions outside of China.
