Iron Maiden's Eddfest: The Ultimate Fan Experience at Knebworth 2026 (2026)

Get Ready for a 50-Year Celebration Unlike Any Other! Iron Maiden is transforming Knebworth Park into a full-blown "MAIDEN world" for a truly epic weekend, and you won't want to miss a moment of it!

Back in September, the legendary British heavy metal band, Iron Maiden, announced their sole U.K. performance for 2026, scheduled for July 11th at the iconic Knebworth Park. At the time, they promised to make it "as much of a 'MAIDEN world' as we can for all our fans to enjoy!" Well, they've certainly delivered on that promise, and now we have all the incredible details for what they're calling Eddfest!

Imagine this: a 48-hour immersive experience packed with entertainment, themed zones, lively bars, unique attractions, and, of course, fantastic live music. This is Iron Maiden's ultimate vision of a fan's dream weekend, and it’s all happening at Eddfest!

But here's where it gets truly special...

Within Eddfest, you'll have the chance to step into the Infinite Dreams Museum Experience. This isn't just a display; it's a walk-through journey featuring stage props and cherished relics, all inspired by the best-selling book "Infinite Dreams." For the first time ever, you can get up close and personal with MAIDEN memorabilia that tells the story of their legendary career. This is an unprecedented and completely unique opportunity that no true fan should miss.

And that's not all! Prepare to be amazed by Maidenville, the vibrant heart of the festival. Here you'll discover the greatest Eddie's Dive Bar ever, a buzzing second stage for music and entertainment, and the Unfair Funfair, complete with thrilling rides and Eddie-themed games. Plus, explore Eddie's Emporium and so much more scattered throughout the site.

And this is the part most people miss...

For those opting to camp, your Friday night is packed with perks! You'll get early access to the entire site and all the amazing experiences, including the very first chance to dive into the Infinite Dreams Museum. The evening will be a blast on the Maidenville stage with a curated lineup of special acts who have a meaningful connection to MAIDEN. This all builds up to the main event on Saturday: the grand finale on the main stage with an exceptional supporting lineup, all leading up to Iron Maiden's spectacular "Run For Your Lives" performance.

Rod Smallwood, MAIDEN's manager, shared his excitement: "After the monumental shows in the U.K. last year, we knew that if we were going to play the U.K. in 2026, it had to be very different. So we chose Knebworth Park as it gives us the space required — which is just not available in stadiums — to put together something groundbreaking for our fans by creating a 'MAIDEN world' for them. We are excited to now reveal the details of this one-off event to celebrate the band's 50-year career, which we are now calling Eddfest, because, as everyone knows, Eddie is the true star of the show! We also know MAIDEN fans are basically a huge gang and we want to give them a weekend to remember at Knebworth."

He continued, "For the last couple of tours we have been arranging the Eddie Dive Bars for our fans, both pre- and post-show. Some of these took over the entire centres of towns with thousands of fans gathered there enjoying the fun, the music and each other's company. So Eddfest is going to expand on that concept in a huge variety of ways, to create a truly unmissable 'MAIDEN world' over the whole weekend! There will be a whole host of great music, great beer (of course!), lots of exciting and varied fun things to do, great souvenirs and merch, some unique and fantastic photo opportunities to create unbeatable MAIDEN memories, and of course, the true camaraderie that comes from being a MAIDEN fan."

Kilimanjaro promoters Stuart Galbraith and Alan Day, who were instrumental in creating Sonisphere, added their perspective: "MAIDEN have a different view on how they want to do things for their fans than most bands. We previously worked with them at Sonisphere and when they explained what they wanted to do for this show we were hooked. It will be a unique event. A celebration of the Eddie-verse, if you will: a curated Friday afternoon, night and all day Saturday, finishing with the last U.K. show MAIDEN will play until at least 2028!"

They further elaborated, "Creating something like that, which will include a once-in-a-lifetime Infinite Dreams museum experience, featuring a wide range of rarely-seen memorabilia from throughout their history, a MAIDEN-themed fun fair, the biggest Eddie's Dive Bar ever with some extra special additions and surprises, plus the ability to camp, glamp or park a motorhome on site for the Friday and Saturday night show in a specially created 'village' space with MAIDEN alumni, friends and our perfect partners Planet Rock — well, it was a chance not to be missed!"

The Eddfest festival kicks off at 2 p.m. on Friday, with camping included for both nights. Various areas within the Maidenville site will be accessible to weekend campers throughout Friday afternoon and into the early hours of Saturday morning, including the much-anticipated Infinite Dreams Museum Experience.

Friday night at Eddfest is all about setting the stage for fun before the main event. The campsite will come alive with direct access to the heart of Maidenville, and the entertainment will feature a dynamic mix of bands and artists who share a connection with MAIDEN. Some may be well-known, while others might be more obscure, but they all share a common thread and deserve their place in this opening night celebration.

On Friday night, the Maidenville second stage will host full sets from STRAY, MAIDEN UNITED, AIRFORCE, TONY MOORE'S AWAKE, and HAIR METAL GLAMAGEDDON. Saturday marks the grand opening of the Main Arena, which boasts Eddie's Extended Emporium, the exclusive Trooper VIP area, and a variety of interactive experiences. These are designed as delightful preludes to the carefully curated live performances on the Main Stage. The bill starts with the revitalized British rockers THE ALMIGHTY, followed by Australia's festival-ready AIRBOURNE, and then the electrifying Mongolian metal sounds of THE HU echoing across Knebworth's historic park. As evening approaches, THE DARKNESS will deliver a powerful set before IRON MAIDEN takes the stage for their historic performance – the ultimate shared experience between the band and their devoted fans, set within this unparalleled "MAIDEN world."

Eddfest promises to be an absolutely exceptional weekend for every single MAIDEN fan who attends. It's an unforgettable chance to be part of a fully themed festival experience, celebrating Iron Maiden's spectacular fifty-year career. And remember, this is your last opportunity to see them live in the U.K. until at least 2028!

So, what do you think? Is Eddfest the ultimate fan experience, or are there other ways bands could celebrate such a monumental anniversary? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
